I never understood the use of young people to promote a movement. They rarely arrive at ideas through comparative study or deep understanding. If anything, the youthfulness of a movement can be associated with shallow lack of sound theories.

The conservative side has known for a long time that young people are used in propaganda as victims to appeal to the paternal instincts of mothers and fathers, and motive action that way. Not as poster-girls to sell the latest cause.

'Cute girl in Soviet tshirt' is fap material. There is no appeal in wider society. People are desensitised to any higher narrative because the vast majority of content they consume has none. Becoming another pretty face on a billboard is the opposite of meaningful of effectual.

If an issue is important, it has to be confrontational and fought for with a level of urgency and seriousness. Then if theoretically sound, it will succeed.
