Aristotelean logic has no scientific value. It falls into contradictory errors, because it does not take into account the bias structures within our mind which cause observations to be flawed. The dialectic method allows logic to take this into account, and thus resolve the conflict between Reason and Empiricism, by joining them together, overcoming pure reason and pure observation, which both ignore the intuitions of the mind which we take for granted, and creates errors when thinking about the world.

I thought this was just common sense

If you accept you are an animal and insignificant then you naturally reject Aristotelean logic

I need sleep

Myself and several others I know of, took and still take pure reason as having merit (in some way). But without balancing this against observations and bias', it wanders off into obscurity.
