Yes, and one can choose not to contribute through work and face the consequence of starving. The employer merely offers an alternative

2017-07-13 05:30:09 UTC

VOLUNTARILY

2017-07-13 05:30:11 UTC

Wait, do you think that all buyers and sellers always operate at equilibrium, or not at all?

2017-07-13 05:30:15 UTC

And about being able to control the market through ur wallet

2017-07-13 05:30:42 UTC

Voluntary starvation. You read it here folks.

@Apophis "The Ministry of the Meat and Dairy Industry of the Tadjik SSR, in the quest for high profits for its enterprises in 1970 and 1971, reduced the production of inexpensive products that were in stable demand among the population and unjustifiably increased the production of more expensive products. As a result, the enterprises of this Ministry obtained millions of rubles of profit in excess of the plan".

On the market

2017-07-13 05:32:22 UTC

The employer isn't "offering" shit. The employer has hoarded a large amount of productive capital, and uses the state to enforce that hoarding. He will let you rent it back per hour, at a rate equal to the difference between your productivity and your wage

2017-07-13 05:32:27 UTC

In your ideology, those who don't work and contribute should still recieve capital. In capitalism, one must contribute to society, be that through owning a business that can only remain if the consumers are okay with the product and/or price, through working for such a business, or to front financial risk for such a business with a voluntarily agreed return.

2017-07-13 05:32:56 UTC

@Apophis What are you talking about typically in marxist society there is little to no unemployment?

2017-07-13 05:33:07 UTC

Compare that to the armies of unemployed in capitalist ones

I am done with ancaps bye

2017-07-13 05:33:54 UTC

This is normal though in Austrian economics. iirc

2017-07-13 05:33:57 UTC

Because you kill people who dare not do exactly as your government demands. There's no unemployed because they're in labor camps or dead.

2017-07-13 05:34:11 UTC

🤔

2017-07-13 05:34:21 UTC

@Apophis That is wut I thought u would say, btw that is incorrect

2017-07-13 05:34:48 UTC

He's hyperbolic, but there's a seed of truth to it

2017-07-13 05:34:57 UTC

Albania unemployment, 1984 (socialism) 3%, 2015 (capitalism), 19%

2017-07-13 05:35:01 UTC

@Deleted User Everyone contirbutes

2017-07-13 05:35:16 UTC

people want to work

2017-07-13 05:35:18 UTC

everyone does

2017-07-13 05:35:28 UTC

But what if they don't?

2017-07-13 05:35:38 UTC

There's always one smart arse.

2017-07-13 05:35:48 UTC

And in the argument of The Ministry of the Meat and Dairy Industry of the Tadjik SSR, that's not capitalism's fault. The existence of a state violates capitalism because taxes, lobbying and regulation make monopolies.

2017-07-13 05:35:57 UTC

People are unemployed because capitalists need workers to fight and compete amongst each other @Deleted User they do tho

2017-07-13 05:36:17 UTC

V O L U N T A R Y S T A R V A T I O N

2017-07-13 05:36:19 UTC

I am well aware of the function of structural unemployment

2017-07-13 05:36:39 UTC

@Apophis It is a market, and the quote talks about individual enterpries and it makes the case for why it happened. It happened from the profit motive

2017-07-13 05:36:56 UTC

It had nothing to do with government regulation in fact in happened because of the abscense of it.

2017-07-13 05:37:28 UTC

No. If there were no better alternatives, that very much is due to state regulation causing monopolies

2017-07-13 05:38:06 UTC

Regardless of whether heirarchy wears a corporate or government mask, its still shit

2017-07-13 05:38:16 UTC

@Apophis also, how did you get here?

2017-07-13 05:38:53 UTC
