Tbqh, I've never been a fan of Eastern politics as they don't really pertain at all to my beliefs but I think overall Mao was an okay communist (Uninformed statement, I need to read more about him) and that the industrial revolution done under Mao was necessary

I don't think though communism should have occurred in China or Russia when it did though

You need capitalism before communism, because if capitalism is good for one thing it's for industrialization

Then the people can harness that and use it for the benefit of all society after the revolution

Russia and China went straight from feudal agriculture based societies to communism, meaning their only commodities produced were food and the governments were in such a need to produce the other goods needed that they created a huge bureaucratic mess in an attempt to industrialize every aspect of their nations that they through it into disarray.

After the dictatorship of the proletariat successfully abolishes all vestiges of capitalism a city-state would be rendered unnecessary because there will no longer be a social class that needs to be oppressed. And therefore state-issued money, or fiat currency, simply won't exist.
