Is it just me or is there a double standard between the responsibilities of speech expected of judges and presidents?

Judges are supposed to stay out of politics, but does censorship really prevent them from having biases in their rulings? Was there any proof that his actual rulings were biased, or does the government really expect people to be naive enough to believe a judge is more impartial if they make a good show of censorship?

The government isn't supposed to punish people for their free speech, unless it incites violence.

Then there's some debate over hate speech.

I do agree that judges have an extra clout of authority that they have the responsibility to not abuse though.

So I suppose it depends on the context of how he shared his opinions.

Both the Left and Right are worried about fascism from the other side? Making a judge go without pay for 6 months for non-violent speech is a step closer to fascism.

Judges are supposed to make impartial rulings. They are not supposed to stop being people.

There is nothing wrong with dissent against the president. I saw lots of dissent against Obama that wasted a lot of time too.

How do you expect people to solve real problems if you go into conspiracy theories about how institutions are lying to us?

Mueller basically said that he's not going to decide whether there is innocence or guilt because his special counsel is not the proper method to decide that. People should be innocent until proven guilty, and there are legal proceedings that can and can't be done with a sitting president, regardless of their innocence or guilt. It would be unfair to the defendant for him to suggest guilt if the defendant can't currently have a trial to determine innocence or guilt.
