If someone with a higher than average IQ and consistently advocates for a religion that would stone them, then yeah, IQ measurments are probably useless.

It's very useful for making life choices actually, you shouldn't attempt to become a rocket scientist with an IQ of 90 just as you shouldn't become a car mechanic with an IQ of 150.
