like hes not abusing his power
to do evil things
You know what I find funny
tell me
we blame God for all the bad shit in the world
and all the good things
yet we don't realize that humans are the ones behind it
*We* commit evil
not God or Allah
And exactly this artificiality makes it so appealing, IMO
well you know for example in the quran it tells us that the world is literally a test
And I think it's something that people need to learn, stop blaming the devil for your problems and fix them
if you act like shit your afterlife will be shit
if you act good and kind after life will be good
blaming the devil is dumb at the end of the day you make your own choices
Alrighty, Well let’s start with the Oyo, The Oyo empire was a Yoruba Empire that was founded in the 1300s and lasted until the 1890s during the scramble for africa
During their time as an empire they were mainly known for their Cavalry which was very effective in battles. The Oyo had a period of expansion in which they fought also fought a war against the Benin Empire, another famous west African empire in 1578, which they failed in that war
The Oyo’s capital which was Ile Ife was known for having Terracota sculpted heads which had been admired for their realism. The Oyo government was run by a checks and balance kind of thing. There’d be the Prime Minister (Basharoun) who acts as a diplomat and keeps the power of the king in check, for if the King tries to take all the power, He will be beheaded.
The Oyo ruled over an Area in which they gained through expansion which will later become the Dahomey kingdom
After a while(around the 1700s) the Oyo were defeated by the Nupe people, who were doing their little Jihad thing, to which the Oyo empire fell, but then Revived once again and survived until the scramble for africa @Yunus
satanists make the choice to worship satan
Also the Oyo were one of the many West African states to have firearms in their army
1300s to the 1890s thats a long time
Yeah
West African Kingdoms usually survived for long times
Like Benin which lasted from 1180 to 1897
also what about their architecture
got any pictures
I’ll get some pics
interesting
i wonder what the inside of that looked like
Kings were called Alaafins and Prime minister like people were called Basharouns
what did they believe in
Traditional Religions, their religion was called Ifa
Which is a divinitation religion in which you try to find and rediscover your destiny
im gonna look it up
Here is a picture of the king’s palace in 1890
Also a map of Oyo and surrounding kingdoms
was that like the most successful african empire or why did you choose to look more into it
There were a lot of Successful African empires like the Ashanti, Benin, Kongo, Great Zimbabwe/Mutapa, When I talk about African history I tend to talk about the Non Islamic ones
but w h y
but why what
why not the islamic ones <:RageWojak:552581416022704132>
Because everyone knows about them and has this belief that Arabs civilized them and blah blah blah
Even though the Islamic ones are just as interesting I believe that if I talk about the non islamic ones, the ones that didn’t really have relations with other races, it’d be more interesting since people just can’t say “Arabs/euros civilized dem!” out of nowhere lol
