What does that matter? Intelligence is an abstraction of which are genetic and epigenetic factors. The hard to predict parts are the epigenetics.

2019-06-27 23:39:29 UTC

Why do we need to clone? We just need to modify the corresponding histone.

2019-06-27 23:39:45 UTC

bioshock time then

2019-06-27 23:40:03 UTC

CRISPR is great for gene editing especially cas 9

2019-06-27 23:41:13 UTC

I think most politicians and people are dumb, so the whole thing is an annoyance.

2019-06-27 23:41:29 UTC

That's where I stand on politics.

2019-06-27 23:42:08 UTC

I tend to see intelligence as more important, I think, than most people do. Sometimes I wonder whether I overvalue it.

2019-06-27 23:42:55 UTC

well intelligence is only part of what makes us human

2019-06-27 23:42:56 UTC

Others tell me IQ is not very important, and I agree if what they mean is that working hard and having integrity are far more important, but acting intelligently is also very important to me.

2019-06-27 23:42:59 UTC

True.

2019-06-27 23:43:12 UTC

humans arent cold and logical

2019-06-27 23:43:19 UTC

It's the part that makes humans survive...

2019-06-27 23:43:32 UTC

emotions also are a part of humans

2019-06-27 23:43:54 UTC

And most of the time, people don't attain higher IQs by trying harder or 'working out' their brains, so we can't fault people for having lower IQs than others.

2019-06-27 23:44:20 UTC

This is why I dislike average people... They say really wrong things.

2019-06-27 23:44:25 UTC

EQ, I think, is highly important also.

2019-06-27 23:44:37 UTC

So I agree with you, laurentia.

2019-06-27 23:44:52 UTC

@JeffDog , I am a Biologist.

2019-06-27 23:44:56 UTC

since well humans arent robots that operate on pure logic

2019-06-27 23:45:24 UTC

@laurentia , what is the purpose of emotion?

2019-06-27 23:45:34 UTC

Nice to meet you, Rayn. I am studying physics.

2019-06-27 23:45:39 UTC

Emotions are not novel, they serve a purpose.

2019-06-27 23:45:50 UTC

What is that purpose?

2019-06-27 23:45:54 UTC

i mean yeah of course they serve a purpose

2019-06-27 23:46:04 UTC

What's that purpose?

2019-06-27 23:46:11 UTC

without emotion we probably wouldnt have survived

2019-06-27 23:46:23 UTC

How did they help us survive?

2019-06-27 23:46:42 UTC

Love serves the purpose of furthering the race, not only through procreation, but by protectiveness, altruism, et cetera. That's an example of a purpose for an emotion.

2019-06-27 23:46:55 UTC

i mean without emotion we wouldnt care for our children

2019-06-27 23:47:02 UTC

or protect them

2019-06-27 23:47:05 UTC

Snakes reproduce but don't love.

2019-06-27 23:47:14 UTC

Why do humans?

2019-06-27 23:47:14 UTC

How do you know snakes don't love?

2019-06-27 23:47:25 UTC

lots of animals have emotions

2019-06-27 23:47:41 UTC

Yes, like mammals.

2019-06-27 23:47:50 UTC

i'm not sure about sankes though

2019-06-27 23:47:52 UTC

snakes

2019-06-27 23:47:55 UTC

One may not absolutely need love to reproduce or survive, but I think it definitely helps the species.

2019-06-27 23:47:57 UTC

Snakes are solitary. They don't raise their young.

2019-06-27 23:48:05 UTC

humans raise their young

2019-06-27 23:48:15 UTC

without emotions we wouldnt care about them
