Stagnation not always, there are cases where new things happen. Though not that much anymore or of much significance.
I don't how much I can blame capitalism. Because to me the ownership of private property seems pretty essential to freedom.
If you can't own your labor. Than wouldn't that be slavery?
I know what your're going to say we don't. I know that.
The Fed and the rest of the crap.
Working conditions in the United States has declined greatly
I see
You know that most of the time you are working you aren't doing shit, because the hours have only become apart of getting money not actual progression
You then become a slave to your work slowly
Since you are then trapped in a dead end job
What then?
working to gain nothing because your degree sucks ass
Yes, true I agree. Lot of the population has to suffer and not much choice either, as we have been advertised to have.
I have better ideals of Capitalism, than what is presented today. But I know today, nothing is going on right and everything is manipulated, the whole economy is that way.
Only the rich make the most advantage of the system. I can even understand Communistic concerns about equality and justice.
But what can we do?
If revolution can fix things, than it should be done. But I can't see the endgame.
After all, even you succeed you'll end up either in the same capitalist system or another or a dictatorship.
I do not know any other forms of governance, that have worked so well as the the Capitalist system as today. Which is of course flawed. I agree and is evil in so many ways to count.
That is why you must destroy the system entirely
No state
No Hierarchy
Nothing of the old system should remain
its what keeps failures
I don't know, how you can destroy Hierarchies? Even abolishing the State. How will you maintain order then? It'll be anarchy, more in the form you won't like, I believe.
By abolishing the current economic and social hierarchy that we have at the moment and recreating a society that isn't reliant upon it
they just will do it not for money but instead for actually saving people
Total War is always a possibility
But do you think people will have the same incentive to help. Without the profit motive. I don't think people want to help each other out of goodwill.
I find difficult to believe. that people care for each other naturally. Unless your're only seeing one side of the coin.
Most care about themselves and for their own ends. Unless you aren't part of theirs they don't care about you.
At least that's what I have experienced being around most people.
I hope you know people with better sense of values than this.
That is why we must get rid of the system that was before, the profit motivation is difficult to keep once there is no currency...not encouraging self egoism just to save a couple of people is a very wack situation to be in
we must destroy it before it becomes more and more oppressive by the day
Alright, I'll believe you. Let's see what the opposition ends up with. I hope a more benign system than this one. There is too much apathy in this world already.
Wish you guys come up with up a better solution. Then messing it up even further. I hope.
if the solution is not enough
you keep trying
I understand your motivation. But I am more like that donkey in Animal Farm by George Orwell.
No matter what you do. You still always end up with same formula. The freedom fighters eventually become oppressors.
History has already shown us countless times when this has happened.
Why keep capitalism then?
I just so tired of being fooled.
We all fight for something we barely understand
Because it least gives me a sense of control.
Even though it's pretty illusory.
I wanted better way for this world. I was inspired by Howard Roark from The Fountainhead and made a bet on Capitalism. More under views of Ayn Rand.
And sure I have seen the hypocrisy. Alan Greenspan, the federal reserve.
But at least Objectivism gave me systematic view to approach reality. Much better than what I was offered before.
I don't agree everything about Objectivism or Capitalism. But share some ideals which I think are fundamental to a free society and a free life.
Here's Ayn Rand views on individual rights.

Though Laisse faire Capitalism may seem extreme. It's only under the modal a Free Market system. Which never came fully to existence. The same way you can say real Communism wasn't applied.
Plus, it's a complicated subject altogether so I'll refrain to speak too much about right it now.
a illusionary sense of control is no control at all
