@Ned Kelly But democracy does not necessarily mean that people will vote on every issue, if everything was democratic then nothing would get done, the people actually do vote on most issues be it directly or indirectly.

Even in athens you know that they didn't always vote on every issue.

They had certain individuals that went up to the floor every time to represent certain ideologies

Because the athenians had way more involvement of the people in elections then we do

There would be organized meetings to each of the citizens
