At the same time I don't wish to depress myself further reading Brave New World. I was so strongly hit 1984 that I don't want a similar experience like that too soon.
I was in the process of reading Atlas Shrugged but I kinda tired it was driving me a little insane tbh
Nah Actually Adlous Huxley was against Fordianism it's a criticism of Ford's ideas and of Capitalism at the same time. Also showing us the negative sides of Futurism.
I meant to say “he defends it in the book”
Giving them another view
1984 didn’t hit me that much
I see, I thought he critisized it. Though I haven't read it so I can't say.
I personally haven't much problem with Ford's ideas until they don't turn dogmatic for me.
It was more of “oh fuck people are going to miss-interrupt this to hell”
It wasn't something like that for me, I thought most people wouldn't be able to understand 1984.
You know if people read it seriously, which they do not. They will realize the current trend of anti scientific mentality we have today is extremely detrimental to us and beneficial for our rulers.
Scientific?
Remember the 2+2= 5 part
Yeah
Reality is what ever the state wants it to he

okay this is epic

Cursed
@FURRY SUPREME what is your ideology?
What was O Brian trying to achieve.
He was forcing reality through torture and barbarism to prove the point that man was just an animal and the was no higher nature or quality of his existence and that he will betray his integrity for gain always when he get's the chance.
The novel was a nightmare story proving when Winston Betrayed Julia was that he was no better than Big Brother.

@Prometheus thats sorts how Orwell felt with his wife
unironically NS though @Ned Kelly
He didn’t want to betray her but he felt like his own insanity would win
@FURRY SUPREME how...
Thats cursed
@Prometheus Orwell suffered from some symptoms of PTSD iirc, that drastically impacted his writings and how he viewed the world
I don't know about that about Orwell's wife.
But it wasn't his insanity, he was being tortured by Big Brother. Would anyone do in such a situation like that.
Who knows
Everyone has a different fear
But even before that, do you remember the oath he took with O Brian.
I'll get pages for reference just wait a bit.
The one praising big brother
?
No no you must forgotten now.
Here I'll quote it
Wait the last part was a little different than I remembered
Julia interupted but oh I
I'll paste it here
You are prepared to give your lives?’
