@Korewa Krusader I believe America is based on a set of ideas, but it doesn't deny people.
It goes both ways, the people represent ideas for the nation, and the nation represents certain ideas for the people.
Now America being the first unique and secular country was entirely new in the world. No government existed of such sort which allowed freedom to follow what they believe without any persecution, the First Amendment allowed you to live in the country with your own set of values, as a king in your own right.
You could believe whatever you wished to believe, you had the freedom to do so, something which no other country allowed you to have at the time.

The government doesn't over rule you, in fact it protects your rights so you can live the way want, provided you do it under the law.
This was the first country which allowed you to have individual rights, rights of property and protected the sovereignty of the individual, and as result to peruse whatever wish to to pursue to further your well being, at same time improve the lives other people as well.
My case of defense of the constitution and concern whether it reigns supreme and no other ideological position takes precedence over, can be understood though my concern about the country remaining Secular.

Final statement I guess I would say America represents the ideals of the Founding Fathers, which made it great and allowed maximum happiness and greatness to a person with your freedom intact.
Which now have been so ruined by so many corrupt politicians, which disregard or even scrap, The Bill of Rights and The Constitution, that it is a really sad and a very tragic story.
The establishment of National Security State, foreign wars, internal corruption and out right abusing the rights of citizens who have done nothing wrong, is completely unconstitutional, and as a result led to a great amount of pain and misery both domestically and abroad.

It's quite tragic when you look, how great America was, and how much it's now being torn down by internal and foreign forces, is really a very sad sight to see.
That's what I think on all of this
The ideas don't supersede the people
they empower and strengthen them
but it doesn't function like that anymore, big money and certain influences have so much power that they control due of process of law and do whatever the want, against the interests of the people.
