Does anyone prescribe to a Paleo diet/lifestyle? I've been on it for over two months and it's given me considerable benefits
I've been Paleo for nearly seven years. There have been varying degrees of strictness modifications to stop myself from becoming too thin. It totally changed my gastrointestinal system. I'm very fond of the lifestyle.
@Argument of Perigee , I find it far easier and better for me than strict calorie counting. I find myself keeping good muscle mass and far more energy
Yea, calories have no meaning to me with Paleo. I'll eat 3 ribeye steaks for dinner if I want--no fat gain. I've got a very tall & slender build; even so, people see me destroying massive amounts of meat and are speechless at how I maintain my body.
Keep at it if it suits you and has great results.
I'm glad it works for you as well. Definitely re-affirmation for me that I'm doing the right thing. Thank you.
Can you guys explain the benefits paleo is giving you. For instance I've been on keto a few months and it's given me way more energy during the midday when I used to get tired. Do you guys see anything similar from paleo?
I actually follow a loose form of paleo - a poor man's paleo if you will
I've cut out 90% of carbs. My diet is meat and veggies essentially
I can confirm that even following it loosely, there are obvious and strong benefits
carbs are important for CNS recover and all sorts of other things
paleo is dumb dude stop
carbs are literally jewish satan
carbs are totally essentiall for muscle building
you need carbs as much as fat and protein
(((Carbs)))
^^^
i have a hard time bel;iving your body is recovering at an opitimal rate if your doing heavy compound movments and eating minimal carbs
the carbohydrate jew
I get all the carbs I need from vegetables tbh
fuck grains 😤
if your doing any kind of deadlift or squat progressions im not sure how your able to keep super low carbs and increase your numbers over reasonable time intervals
particularly deadlift
I deadlifted last night, 3 reps of 12
Whey protein shakes should be fine for recovery
The biggest issue with deadlifting is Central Nervous System fatigue
protein wont help
you need carbs and fat
bruh carbs are op tf y'all on about
carbs help me out alot
You can get enough carbs from vegetables and plenty of energy from fats and oils used in cooking and inherent in food. The idea is to cut out garbage, prcoessed foods with tons of sugar and unnecessary carbohydrates.
Eat one ingredient foods. Organic, grass fed and ethically sourced is preferable, depending on budget and availability of course
Potatoes and rice are fine in moderation if you feel like you're dragging and need extra energy for endurance and performance. However, sweet potatoes are considered far more preferable over white ones (White Potatoes Matter!) for their higher nutrient value
sure you CAN get enough carbs out of just veggies but are you likely to? im skeptical. i agree with your point about processed food. organic is meh. carbs serve many more functions then simply supplying energy they are ESSENTIAL for muscle growth. nothing wrong with eating bread and pasta ect.

@shyguy, I suppose it's a matter of lifestyle and what diet you want for yrouself. Not trying to push Paleo, just answering some questions about it. I have a day where I carb-out for mental health. You can't eat perfect all the time, plus having intermittent processed carbohydrates such as bread and pasta can jumpstart fat burning. I think it's a good idea to eat strictly 80% of time or so.
fuck left vs right
the true war is carb vs no carb
Lol carbs are bad cuz of pop tarts.
the holy carb wars have begun
