This one made me laugh
We all know we pay for diversity and its consequences in a myriad of ways, here whites LITERALLY pay for it (la crosse, wi is a very white town)
This, and the situation with poc medical doctors.
yeah, it does make me want to choose white or asian doctors when I can, if the standards for medical school admission are so different
It's one way I broach race realism with my normie friends
I tell them, I have to be justifiably racist for my health.
I know, for an indisputable fact, that they are underqualified
oh really? that's interesting about the roman legions
Yeah, vaguely familiar with Roman legion issues with diversity
"many studies have found that African American military personnel have higher rates of PTSD compared to their White peers." https://www.tandfonline.com/doi/abs/10.1080/10926771.2016.1157842
" In past several decades, a number of studies have focused on combat-related PTSD and have identified individual and social risk factors, these risk factors include being younger at the time of the trauma, being female, being of a racial minority..."https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4368749/
@apronandlace those civil war studies stuck out to me as well.
yeah, good point that the feeling of kinship can be protective
Stefan just had a great video on Medicaid fraud
link?
someone who used to be an investigator of medicaid fraud
interesting that military privatization is heading more toward segregation again
"Private vendors are not engaged in the same social engineering project as the military and, as a result, tend to hire and fire people based on their ability to work effectively as a team. Like many companies, they have little incentive to invest in helping diverse teams learn to work together as effectively as possible. Building diverse teams – especially ones in which members depend on each other for their survival – is extremely hard, time-consuming, and emotionally exhausting. As a result, private companies focus on “culture fit”, emphasize teams that get along, and look for people who already have the necessary skills, all of which helps reinforce existing segregation patterns."
yeah, diversity "enriches " us but we hardly ever see these people sometimes (like the Chinese enclave)
he talks about it toward the end
yeah
that's a good point, that white identity in the present involves a lot of work to just get to the point of being able to start having it
our environment doesn't support an identity or defined space, culture, way of life for us.
communism also affected post 1965 immigration because lots of people were not allowed to leave Eastern bloc countries
"While the bill’s champions, including LBJ and Celler, were committed to ethnic and racial pluralism, they anticipated that most of its beneficiaries would hail from Europe.
But the story played out differently. As Europe’s economy finally emerged from the ashes of World War II, fewer residents of Ireland, Italy or Germany moved to the United States, while those residing in the Soviet bloc found it all but impossible to try."
I'm working on Spanish in duolingo myself
i took it in hs so it's gonna be much easier for me to learn and use
you're seeing more inter-racial conflict among Democrats, more balkanization of the Democratic party
huh I never thought of it that way, that emigration restrictions in Eastern Europe affected the US
On the other hand, the democratic party, like the communist party, by raising up people who would otherwise never have power, can still stay a stable bulwark, mainly because it is the source of their worth and unites them notwithstanding their differences.
yeah, i was referring more to the question on cyberstrike
Ah, I see.
yeah the low humidity here is good
I'm open to moving in the future with the intention of forming a community
