Unless you want to know
I have but it wasn't the current story I'm writing
Last one was a star wars fanfioc
another was a medieval story I wrote
Both were cringy AF
I wish. It’s one of my longterm goals but I’ve only started actively writing two years ago and I’m still in school :/
I *do* want to know but I’m also not sure if I want it spoiled
How long in the story until we find out?
Oh! I did make a Children’s book and self-published it on Amazon but I’m not sure that counts (also the formatting went crazy on me)
It counts. LOL
I haven't yet, mostly because I have yet to finish part 1 of 4 and it's been 6 years
Definitely plan to, though
I wrote decades ago, got published in a few sci-fi mags and an anthology, then mostly wrote for a local newspaper for a while. Still getting back into the groove after life tossed me a few curve balls.
I do know so I might as well say lol
Is it possible to make some money doing it on the side
So the reason she has the burn scars might be obvious with the fact her household was burn to the ground, this was because she use to live in the elvish kingdom before it formed into the Alaia empire. The reason it was burned down was because the Axigridian republic (Note it's an empire now) was expanding and burned her household to the ground. But it was also because the Colonel she met. He told the republic was about them forming a militia (which is a lie) that was going to repulse them at a battle (She finds out later)
like, even if the published book doesn't go apeshit like Harry potter
I did. Not a lot, but some.
Dang. Well. That would do it. So the Colonel was from the Axigridian republic/empire and lied to Kaylin about it?
What are the names of books you’ve published?
This'll give you a general idea of current market. Also a good publisher. https://www.baen.com/submit
Oh I see
No, the Colonel was from from before the Alaia was an empire. He is trying to get her to marry behind the scene
Ohhhhh I misunderstood what you were saying, I thought you said the Colonel was part of the reason her house burned down, my bad
That’s still pretty awesome, though!
Thanks. I'm hoping to get the novels I have half-done finished this year.
I had to put everything on hiatus for two years, because I moved for the first time in decades.
I hope all goes well!
The move has, but now I need to get back into actually doing things that aren't part of that.
Moving really takes a lot out of you
For me writing it down is hard because sometimes what is in my head is difficult to put into words.
I mean I have written stuff a long time ago.
I am a storyteller verbally. Not so much literally speaking.
Words are my only useful talent. I'm only a writer because I lack the skills and talent to share what I create in any other way.
When I worked in a group home the kids all liked when I told them stories that I created.
When I would be driving them somewhere they would ask me questions about the characters.
Naw tit's fine lol
Here's the challenge I'm looking fir
Food is calling. Have fun, folks.
In three words, how would you describe my story
War, characters, magic
not sure if that's what you're looking for but I'm really bad at summing things up in three words
