Depends on the type of action scene?

My problem with action scenes is I can never finish enough writing to get to the first one.

Have you tried opening a story in media res (in the middle of things)? It's a good way to practice writing action pieces. Sometimes, it even sets an entire story in motion.

Normally we have them fight the villain or some of the villain's goons. But this season is much more isolated than the last ones.

This season we're putting the characters on an island. They go there to find secrets about one of the character's past. They find out the character's father is on the island and is evil.

The villain wants to wage war on the gods after becoming a fallen god himself

So I have had this idea for a few years now about a murder mystery story.

Where there is a series of unsolved homicides all around the country and they are all killed differently.

So there is no way to connect them.

The long and short of it is the killer works in a telephone call center where he takes orders for different catalogs etc.

All his victims are people who were nasty to him on the phone and he kills them with what they ordered from him.

...I really like that concept.

Back in the day we took calls for a company that sold yard umbrellas and stuff like that

I can see a scene where the guy is found with the umbrella up his ass and coming out his mouth.

Down his throat, then opened.

I would not male all the murders close together in time

I would space them out between 10 to 15 years

Because not everyone is that triggering

And he would also have to take time off to fly to where the assholes were

Working in a call center doesn't pay all that much.
