That's cheap for a quality RAID/HBA card. Gather its last generation SAS 6GB or even just sata?

I just recently upgraded my GPU and I got a lot of expenses coming up so

I have a 1660 Super

Another thing about upgrading my GPU is my monitors are 1080 144hz

So don’t think I would be able to push the performance of a 3060

I just have a 1050 Ti

But I only have one monitor so it works

I bought a 1660 for the time being

Until the 3080 is back in stock wt reasonable prices

Currently have a gtx 1660 and a gtx 760 in my system

It has 8 ports, supports raid 10, all i needed

I just got it because it was the cheapest one that came with the cables, i will probably upgrade it if i upgrade beyond gigabit for my home network

If you mean 8 physical ports, being able to handle 32 drives at full (3 GB) isn't bad.

althought it can probably do more with a SAS expander

i only have a single drive in it now, so all its doing is adding 512mb ddr2 cache

writeback and read ahead

i also got an Oracle F40 Flash Accelerator, that i will use for caching, once i have a proper server motherboard

rn i'm just using some ancient g41 core 2 duo board, with only 1 pcie slot

Yep, never tried em tho

they'd be a possible option if 1. you don't/can't run an ethernet cable and 2. there is too much interference for wifi to work right
