Had something like that yesterday. My ping was constantly around 9-12ms and after like an hour it jumped to 5000ms and I had only one bar showing on discord. When i tried to reconnect it kept connecting and said something about rtc

5000ms is 5 seconds

and it looks like you were either disconnected or getting really bad ping

Somehow fixed it now

Using Wired again

Just test if it drops or slows down when a microwave is on, if it doesn't you're good
