Try changing the wireless channel most routers default to one channel and it can get real slow real quick

Its most likely from using a wireless signal but it could also be high bandwidth usage on your isps side

I have run windows 10 off a usb on a chromebook it was mostly driver hell (Touchpad and sound not working) and the internal storage is 16gb so have fun installing on that

The chromebook I used for this was not a school computer I actually bought a lot of 3 chromebooks and assembled 2 fully working for only half of the price of one

I have seen isps cutting ethernet cables without telling the customer and making a mess and leaving it like that
