What is everyone's favorite caliber to hunt game such as deer with?

I've heard 243. to 30-06 but everyone has their own experiences

I don't hunt but I know by brother uses a 30-30 though he got a bow for Christmas he also plans to hunt white tails with next season.

All the seer I shoot with buckshot drop in their tracks. If I shoot them with rifles, they run at least a few yards. No idea where this idea that buckshot doesn't kill deer comes from.

yea its a white tail but i would have let him go another year but he was limping and come find out he had hoof rot and we had him mounted within a month

@trigger#3932 the only reason I day that is the 30-30 is a reliable round that has been around for quite a while and my grandpa gave me his bolt action so that is my hunting rifle
