Giant wall of text, too hard to find out what the purpose of the article is.

How many Calvinist do we have in here?

Actually it was pretty wordy, but if patient enough to read through it, it was quite good. Archbishop Vigano is the highest ranking cardinal openly opposed to Pope Francis. He occasionally writes letters like this to try to restore order to the mess the pope and his goonies have made. The gist of it was that the Vatican came out with another soulless letter on a special feast day, and instead of highlighting the beauty of the feast, they just talk about new world order ideas “unity” “everything’s connected” “all religions are equal” moral relativism...
When the real aspect of the feast tomorrow (Feast of the Presentation of Our Lord) is to renew zeal for religious life (monks, nuns, and priests). Here’s Vigano, “In this supernatural battle, the contribution of religious men and women is fundamental: this is why it is more necessary than ever that consecrated souls rediscover the sacrificial dimension of their vocation, offering themselves in holocaust as expiatory victims.”

When will people realize that although we are all God's children and equally loved by him, not all religions are interchangeable. I know that most religions have similar or rhyming virtues that transend continents. (Don't lie, rape, steal, murder, etc.) But there a several differences in how the followers of said religions practice them. Most of the religious fanatics in the world hail from the Middle East. It's not a good thing to attempt to smear people who point that out as bigots.

As a Christian, I operate under the belief that what is written in the Bible is the truth of Creation. Anything that is similar or the same in other Holy Books would likely be a misunderstood or blurry outline of what God is trying to tell us. Faith's that never encountered Christ or the word of God aren't without the Holy Spirit in them, they just didn't have the "Rosetta Stone" for the words that God etched into their hearts.

If the Pope genuinely is a Christian, he wouldn't cheapen or water down the sanctity of Christianity. He is a political pundit now. He is no different from the Popes that were asleep at the wheel when Christendom needed them. Much like the Pope who was occupied in trying to manipulate the election of the Holy Roman Empire when Martin Luther voiced his concerns about the Church's policies of donations getting you into Heaven.

If the Pope at the time had taken his sworn duty seriously, a second great schism between Christians could have been avoided. The Thirty Years War followed a century after the Protestant Reformation. Nearly eight million people died from that conflict.

Millions bled because past generations failed their duty. The saying, "The sins of the father will come back to haunt their sons," dances in my mind when I think of this.

2021-02-02 05:06:33 UTC

I think people do know that...they just think they can

2021-02-02 05:08:19 UTC

@Raging Smurf yes I generally agree with everything you’ve said. It reminds me of the saying “the road to hell is paved with the skulls of bad bishops”

2021-02-02 05:08:51 UTC

We must pray pray pray for the conversion of wayward bishops and the pope

2021-02-02 05:09:37 UTC

And thank God we do not have to bear the burden of their job. However we must pick up the pieces

2021-02-02 05:11:37 UTC

People like Vigano

2021-02-02 05:11:43 UTC

People sometimes forget that clergymen are also people. They too also have doubts and can be led astray. As they help us, we must help them in turn. Better that you have a comrade to pick you up than to trek through hell and back on your own. It's almost miraculous how much easier an "impossible" task is when you've got a like minded comrade right beside you. That applies to *many* things, not just matters of Faith.

I'll need to get going, just wanted to leave my 2 cents.

2021-02-02 05:12:22 UTC

Sad that there are openly gay Catholic clergies iirc

2021-02-02 05:12:48 UTC

I shouldn’t laugh

2021-02-02 05:13:38 UTC

Dunno why the Church doesn't forbid it

2021-02-02 05:13:39 UTC

It’s ridiculous. Satan is having a free for all.

2021-02-02 05:13:55 UTC

It's a bit funny

2021-02-02 05:13:58 UTC

Dw about it

2021-02-02 05:14:28 UTC

Just means the prophecies have been fulfilled

2021-02-02 05:14:36 UTC

Evil forces *have* entered the Church

2021-02-02 05:15:39 UTC

As a catholic. It is just...I have no explanation. Except that the opportunities for grace that these bishops were given (including the ones back many decades ago) they did not respond to, or they refused.

2021-02-02 05:15:41 UTC

And they'll all come to an end soon

2021-02-02 05:16:03 UTC

Could I ask you something via dms?

2021-02-02 05:16:06 UTC

I trust our lady of Fatima

2021-02-02 05:16:13 UTC

Ok sure

2021-02-02 05:36:48 UTC

Just wanna ask, what's up with those LDS church of Jesus Christ folk? Its not like anything they say is really wrong, And people seem to hate them more than all those other cults. They've also helped a lot of families suffering in disasters around the world.

2021-02-02 05:37:31 UTC

@Kriegs Commissar McCraw I wonder the same thing everyday. But the hate continues, and if that's what God wills then so be it.

2021-02-02 05:38:16 UTC

i still dont understand the catholic obsession with saints.... they're just other saints, i dont remember anywhere in the bible where it says we have to treat some saints in higher prestige than others

2021-02-02 05:39:18 UTC

the obsession with "consecrated souls" only being ones who enter the priesthood, ticks me off

2021-02-02 05:40:02 UTC

Aren't they mormons?

2021-02-02 05:40:58 UTC

Used to be

2021-02-02 05:41:05 UTC

Latter-Day Saints are "mormons".... 'mormon' is a nickname given to them because of The Book of Mormon

2021-02-02 05:41:17 UTC

like how some of us refer to communist authoritarians as 'tankies'

2021-02-02 05:41:41 UTC

it's a nickname, not a name they chose themselves... but it stuck, so they just roll with it

2021-02-02 05:42:49 UTC

also, we used to call muslims "Mohamedans" until about the 19th century, because we didn't know any better, but the name stuck around for so long that it just became a common term

2021-02-02 12:28:47 UTC

Adoration is the worship and homage that is due to God alone. The Saints are human like you and I. They are not divine. Adoration of the saints has never been nor will ever be part of Catholic teaching or prayer. We venerate the saints.

Veneration is the honor due to the excellence or achievement of a created person.

im only a minute in

2021-02-02 14:53:46 UTC

Yeah I think we have a difference of definition of a Saint. Saints are in heaven. We hope to become saints, by being holy and acting like saints, but we are not saints yet.

2021-02-02 14:54:15 UTC

thats like the sahabah

2021-02-02 14:54:30 UTC

saints are role models no?
