My seminary teacher gave an excellent lesson today.

When a person dwells in darkness for a long enough time, they become used to it. Their pupils dilate out, so they can receive more light and that.

So when you shine a light in that darkness, it hurts to look at, and so they take comfort in the dark, seeking to stay away from the light.

we're all sinners and loved by God. The issue with sin these days is the glorification. Oh no alcohol is okay. Oh no divorce is normal. Oh no everyone cheats. Oh destruction of property is fine. No gay is okay. The issue isn't the sin itself per say, but rather the widespread wanting to embrace sin instead of remove it from ones life
