good luck in finding the translation!
you could try a google search first
oh ok
You should join voice chat then, I'd be happy to talk with you. Maybe then you could explain things more reasonably
:)
Okay
Hey, sorry if this conversation is already over or if you are conversing it right now, I just decided to do a bit of research myself on Exodus 21: 20-21, and I found this page. I found it to be pretty interesting in contrast to my first thoughts on the verses as well. https://www.revelation.co/2013/06/09/bible-says-its-okay-to-beat-your-slave-as-long-as-they-dont-die-exodus-2120-21/
Either way, god bless, hope you find some insight on these thoughts about the verses.
have a great day!

Much of the slavery things in the Bible aren't exactly as clear cut as how we see slavery today. Slaves were commanded to obey their masters, even if they were unjustly harsh or cruel. But what comes next is seldom mentioned; Masters were expected to be kind and understanding. Just as their slaves have a master on Earth, so to do masters on Earth have a master in Heaven. If you are vicious and unempathetic to your fellow man, why in heavens should you expect any different from *your* master?
It almost sounds like Karmic justice. "Forsake others, and I'll forsake you."
Big claims from either a new challenger or a silent watcher.
Most "christians" faith is skin deep because they never bothered with Epistemology (Thats the study of why you beleive what you believe) which is important but that they have also never encountered any sort of bump or problem before.
I am not one of those people.
Dude, really? I'll justify a lot of the parts of the bible, but I'm not delving into each word to find the meaning, I take things at face value, because that's the way D&C was written the BOM, the POG, as well as the bible and king James bible.
Read exodus 21:26-27
Read exodus 21: 1-2
CONTEXT YOU RETARDS
Bruh
Guy early was talking about verse 20 and 21
Punishing slaves but if your damage their body then you have to let them feee
Its say faith-and-religion! Not lies and technicalities.
Nothing wrong with punishing people
What's wrong with 1-2?
So your saying that if a person abuses a slave, the punishment is them being freed is a... bad thing?
Are you objecting to slaves being freed? what is your issue?
Its the context behind 20 and 21,
What is the context then?
f thou buy an Hebrew servant, six years he shall serve: and in the seventh he shall go out free for nothing.
3 If he came in by himself, he shall go out by himself: if he were married, then his wife shall go out with him.
Id say thats pretty progressive since at the time, you kept slaves for life AND any kids they had.
The Quran was written by a pedophile, who wrestled with an angel.
If you believe he did not dream it. The first words of the book has him saying "I am not sure if what just happened was a dream or was real" and his friend said "No it was a message from god"
Im still waiting for Peak Centrism to bother making any sort of point or claim.
Honestly any troll can just say "Thats stupid lol" and he has yet to make any kind of original opinion.
I find most athiests to be people who just have a "Hot take" that has been taken by virtually all athiests. Deep down they have no original argument, they will usually make some claim like:
"You dont actually beleive it, you just think you beleive it because its what you have heard and seen from people. "
Which ironicly is an argument that they have heard and seen from other people.
My least favorite argument is from atheists is where they say, oh we know what happens, therefore we don't need a god!
I quote and I do quote
"The atom is proof that god does not exist"
If an idiot or a "hot-take" spitter says read a verse about something stupid, read the rest of the scripture, context matters.
Exodus 21: 2-3 makes their argument moot
Context matters, always read the rest.
Well they usually point to slavery in the bible, but A. we STILL have actual slavery and slaves TODAY in some places and B. The bible talked about how things were going to be different and you had to treat them with some dignity and respect, vs their modern day, you could kill them as sacrificed to a god, rape them or torture them because thats all they were good for.
They seem to think that adressing the problem of slavery in a barbaric age where people made people slaves just because they had sharper sticks is somehow some kind of 'Gotcha'
Anyway looks like they took off so I am gonna go to bed.
