but trusting Jesus is a little different than supposedly having a revelation, and maybe it didnt go against His commandments, but that doesnt mean they go along with the commandments either
i may seem angry, but im writing this a calmly as possible
He poured his spirit upon the world, so no one has excuse, we all know right from wrong, but if we reject God, that gives satan legal rights to us and the curses that come with it . Like mentioned in ROmans 1:19-32
Let me go find it in D&C real quick
Again I wasn’t saying that to anyone in specific, just occurred to me that we should all try and stay cool
<a:cooldoge:638468239273361457>
ofcourse
but still, know that im not saying anything out of anger here, i know i come off as fiesty sometmes
You don't
okay, good
Not many realize we are being challenged day and night by our accuser, like Job was
I believe it was about the afterlife
literally me sometimes
why would God reveal anything like that to us?
The order of it.
Not it, itself
Once again, I believe.
didnt Jesus say that no man would know the time nor place of the rapture?
I don't read D&C near enough to remember when
what's d&c just so we're clear
Yes, he did, but this wasn't about the rapture
so, im just saying if we wouldnt know the time of the rapture, why would we know anything about the afterlife?
Doctrine&Covenants
Early Mormon history and persucations as well as a "list" of all the revevlations Joe Smith recieved, like no smoking
we will all change all at once when he comes back, but that will be the end, even after the 3 days the two witnesses are killed and celebrated over
okay, thank you
adding to this, i personally don't believe that the human mind is capable of comprehending the magnitude of the 'afterlife' if thats what you would call it
It doesnt have to be worrysome if you repent and seek the kingdom of God first, letting go of everything of this world.
You can find it on the play store as "gospel library" I'd reccomend you to read D&C 20 21 22 23 first
to learn about?
Its a biggish summary of the mormon faith
What we believe in
alright. I'll look into it
Thanks
If you are new to Christianity, I'd recommend listening to Francis Chan, once you feel you are ready for stronger food, John MacAuther, then once you feel you are mature enough in Christ, Paul Washer. As pastors...not saying they are a substitute for reading the bible and direct prayer.
@Kriegs Commissar McCraw so what are your views on the afterlife, heaven and hell, the Bible clearly states that those who rejected Jesus will suffer in hell, eternally separated from God. “Then he will say to those on his left, ‘Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. 42 For I was hungry and you gave me nothing to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink, 43 I was a stranger and you did not invite me in, I needed clothes and you did not clothe me, I was sick and in prison and you did not look after me.’ 44 “They also will answer, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or needing clothes or sick or in prison, and did not help you?’ 45 “He will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.’ 46 “Then they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life.”
john macarthur is good. i like the bible project and the bible answer man
Eternal but not endless...
Mormonism clearly states that hell is no eternal it is merely the temporary abode of those who have sinned
An eternal punishment is the one that made Jesus weep
Eternal; lasting or existing forever; without end or beginning.
