Oh I see
Did you do the paper?
The ethnography, yes
Can a polynomial in 1 variable have a constant
I think it can
I don't really know though. I didn't do so well in math. I just know what you're talking about to some degree.
@Donald(KvyatFan26) I believe it can. I found an old pdf that had to do with monomials and it counts β10β as a monomial. I also found a book with a definition of polynomials and everything and it seems to makes sense that a constant alone is a monomial. I can send pictures if you like, though I know Iβm late in answering the question and you may be done by now.
Oh ok thx
My homework is due at midnight lol gotta snap some pictures
Is the relationship in the table a linear or nonlinear function
last time i think i got it wrong by putting not a function
??
it isnt tho
wait
its linear right
bruh this is so simple xD y am i so stupid
@BunkerHermit let me go look at my old algebra work.
nah its fine
u dont have 2
@BunkerHermit You sure? Iβm taking geometry this year and Algbera 2 next year, so it is sort of a helpful to me to rewiew it. Unless you have the answer, but I donβt mind is what Iβm saying
i just forgot
im in 8th grade so i needed to review this stuff bc they r teaching it and i forgot but im teaching myself calculus so it was a win win because i forgot some stuff
@BunkerHermit Ok! Just one thing about functions- the best way to tell if something is a function is by graphing it and seeing if it passes the vertical line test- if you can draw a vertical line on the graph without it going through two points, since that would mean x has two y values. Let me send just one picture because Iβm a little excited (I forgot this). Also Iβm in eighth grade too so cool
yea ik
thx for da advice tho
Oh ok lol π Iβm just glad I learned something from algebra. That class was... not my favorite
I sent the image so then if anyone else needs it they have it btw since itβs a handy little trick
To tel if it is a function or not, just see if there are 2 points where the x is the same but the y is different
Vertical line test
That is not a vertical line.
That is a straight line with a slope of 0.
Haha <:thinking:726878987837636698>
If slope is 0. Then it's horizontal <:thinking:726878987837636698>
isn't the slope 0 when it's horixontial and undefined if it's vertical
@2Lazy2BeOriginal Yes. I actually forgot that so Iβm glad this became a discussion lol.
I mean when the hell are you gonna use that?
Thatβs me alllll the time in school
That is linear I think
Itβs y=5
Linear is like a straight line
