Your not wrong.

2021-03-06 09:20:44 UTC

But, still, Most English Canadians dislike the French superiority the province has.

2021-03-06 09:20:53 UTC

huh

2021-03-06 09:20:56 UTC

whatever

2021-03-06 09:21:02 UTC

its vice-versa as well

2021-03-06 09:21:37 UTC

canda tries to interfere in other countries independence movements, still hasen't given the fruit of freedom to qubec

2021-03-06 09:22:22 UTC

"King George commands and we obey"

2021-03-06 09:23:04 UTC

The king did not want to tax the American colonies. That was British Parliment.

2021-03-06 09:24:06 UTC

I don't even understand their governance

2021-03-06 09:24:09 UTC

Most Kings and Queens would not dare stand against Parliament after what happened to King Charles the 1st, his trial and quick execution.

2021-03-06 09:24:23 UTC

if you have multiple governers than obviously it will creat mess

2021-03-06 09:24:31 UTC

BRUH

2021-03-06 09:24:39 UTC

Canada, Like the UK, Has a 2 house system.

2021-03-06 09:24:46 UTC

its bs tho

2021-03-06 09:24:57 UTC

wait a sec

2021-03-06 09:25:00 UTC

two houses?

2021-03-06 09:25:05 UTC

sounds familiar

2021-03-06 09:25:35 UTC

The house of commons and the House of Lords (UK) Where the Commons have elected by the people. and the Lords are appointed.

The house of commons and the house of Senate (Canada) Where the commons are elected by the people. and the Senate is appointed.

2021-03-06 09:25:40 UTC

in india also we have, rajya sabha (2nd house) and lok sabha (1st house)

2021-03-06 09:25:56 UTC

hmm

2021-03-06 09:25:58 UTC

Are both elected positions?

2021-03-06 09:26:30 UTC

no, lok one is elected by the people, rajya one is elected by those who were elected by the people, and also, by the president

2021-03-06 09:26:54 UTC

Lady, the Hon, Rt. Hon, Baroness Margret Thatcher was Appointed to the house of Lords (Our equivalent to the senate) for life.

2021-03-06 09:27:04 UTC

ok

2021-03-06 09:27:42 UTC

I thought India had a PM.

2021-03-06 09:28:18 UTC

Nah the king was in favour of taxing the Americans but yeah the matter came down to Parliament, also the American people originally blamed Parliament for taxation policies, many were proud British citizens and saw the taxes as violating their rights as British citizens

2021-03-06 09:29:11 UTC

I think the Americas should have been given MP's. But, that is sadly not how history was made.

2021-03-06 09:29:59 UTC

Or home rule tbh

2021-03-06 09:30:01 UTC

If all of the BOSC's had MP's they would need to reword the seating and rework their ridings / constituencies

2021-03-06 09:30:14 UTC

I mean, Home rule worked out for Canada, not much for Ireland.

2021-03-06 09:30:37 UTC

Then again, they were already Traitors to the Crown.

2021-03-06 09:30:52 UTC

Problem with Ireland was we didnt abuse them for generations and they werent exactly British people

2021-03-06 09:31:18 UTC

Ireland, is so chaotic when it comes to politics.

2021-03-06 09:31:36 UTC

Thought, the British were more.. "restrained" when it came to them compared to your country.

2021-03-06 09:31:44 UTC

Canadians, Australians and even Americans saw themselves as Anglos and British citizens bound to the homeland

2021-03-06 09:32:19 UTC

And the Indian people did not want Queen Victoria as their empress

2021-03-06 09:32:52 UTC

PM is selected by the lok

2021-03-06 09:33:02 UTC

but he does not hold absolute power

2021-03-06 09:33:10 UTC

like a king or something

2021-03-06 09:33:32 UTC

To be fair, the king or queen does not hold that power.

2021-03-06 09:33:44 UTC

like, just citing an example
