Isn't Libertarianism more of a general philosophy than a specific ideology

2020-12-08 19:56:33 UTC

I think its more of an ideology

2020-12-08 19:57:03 UTC

Well its both
It is a philosophy but it can also be an ideology

2020-12-08 20:06:12 UTC

I think the general philosophy was liberalism and libertarian fell under that

2020-12-08 22:36:05 UTC

Yeah I believe that to be the case as well

2020-12-08 23:25:07 UTC

No

2020-12-08 23:25:17 UTC

Libertarianism is about politics

2020-12-08 23:25:24 UTC

Not about philosophy

2020-12-08 23:31:33 UTC

when i comes to this sort of thing philosophy and politics are both part of this

2020-12-08 23:35:15 UTC

"Libertarianism is a political philosophy and movement that upholds liberty as a core principle" via Wikipedia

2020-12-08 23:35:41 UTC

I suppose that's why "Libertarian Socialism" can exist without being completely contradictory

2020-12-08 23:37:18 UTC

but it's still pretty contradictory because individualism and socialism are incompatible

2020-12-09 01:20:17 UTC

Socialism is a pretty antiliberal philosophy

2020-12-09 01:20:48 UTC

i mean classical liberal; modern liberalism is a cucked version with inverted brain cells

2020-12-09 01:40:33 UTC

No politics is about state affairs and how to organize society. Philosphy is about personak relationships and human nature etc.

2020-12-09 01:41:37 UTC

Libertarianism is about using your freedom to discriminate against others.

2020-12-09 01:43:14 UTC

are you trying to assert there isn't overlap lmao

2020-12-09 01:52:45 UTC

What using freedom to discriminate against others? mate what are you on

2020-12-09 01:53:59 UTC

Classical Liberalism was a philosophy which emphasized individualism over central government and a political system came from this a priori

2020-12-09 01:54:23 UTC

libertarianism evolved from this line of thought

2020-12-09 01:55:25 UTC

@Deleted User I'm going to post you in r/AntiLibertarianCringe

2020-12-09 01:55:43 UTC

I was going to post on r/badphilosophy

2020-12-09 01:56:45 UTC

seems like he's joking

2020-12-09 01:57:17 UTC

I think you're right

2020-12-09 02:07:45 UTC

Despite being 13% of the population

2020-12-09 02:10:38 UTC

Gypsies

2020-12-09 02:11:12 UTC

Despite making up 8% of the population

2020-12-09 02:23:51 UTC

idk why so many reddit idiots want the government to nationalise things like water and gas and isps

2020-12-09 02:38:30 UTC

Government:gets its hands in something
That thing costs more
Leftie retards:Lets nationalize essentials so that the government produces them and there is no way this could somehow backfire

2020-12-09 02:38:38 UTC

Why?

2020-12-09 02:41:50 UTC

Of all that I understand:
Campaigm something something #somethingparliament
Something something Parliament something Bible cross

Marxists something #USRPLUS something "Capital" something Karl Marx something intolerant

2020-12-09 02:46:05 UTC

I think that the far right is no better than the far left
I used to think otherwise after I got decommunized tbh

2020-12-09 02:47:52 UTC

I stopped being a leftist at one point and I knew and understood that the left sucks, and that their policies never work but I didn't know what to believe in so I accepted some far right beliefs and parties out of lets say ignorance

2020-12-09 02:48:50 UTC

After looking into it more I figured that most of these parties have like 1 unique good policy and 10 horrible ones
