The trick is to find something light and relaxing you can do in that time, and not something that will suck you in or take away energy.

Finally, I like to listen to neoclassical stuff when I'm trying to focus. Movie scores and game soundtracks, etc. Find an internet station or playlist. There are no distracting lyrics, and game scores are literally meant to make grinding easier

@EsotericBaldNibbaisms You should learn IT, it doesn't require anything other than heightened ADD and being a scatter-brained autist.

Anybody here have a home gym? Trying to buy a squat rack + bench online but every option <$200 looks like crap. Is there anything solid for around that price or do I have to shell out big $$$$?

2018-10-17 01:35:29 UTC

I spent almost 1k on mine

2018-10-17 02:10:41 UTC

damn

2018-10-17 02:11:22 UTC

I was hoping to keep everything (rack, bench, weights) under $500 if possible

2018-10-17 02:11:54 UTC

kettlebells are relatively very cheap but not quite as good for maxxing

2018-10-17 02:12:26 UTC

I prefer barbells myself

2018-10-17 02:12:51 UTC

I found a good set that should only run me $250 or so

2018-10-17 02:13:09 UTC

it's just the bench and rack giving me trouble

2018-10-17 02:22:14 UTC

Why do you want a home gym? No good gyms near you?

2018-10-17 02:29:08 UTC

It's easier to work out at home, more flexibility with scheduling workouts and whatnot

2018-10-17 02:35:16 UTC

Home gym is a lifetime investment

2018-10-17 02:35:21 UTC

Totally worth it

2018-10-17 02:35:44 UTC

For a million reasons

2018-10-17 10:09:08 UTC

If you’re handy then you could make a pretty functioning squat rack out of wood. I made one when I lived at home. It was basically a frame with an upper level for squatting or ohp ing from and a lower level that was meant to be the safety pins and I could bench off it or rest the bar on it when doing rows or RDLs or whatever. All you’d need is a bench, weights and a barbell
