I would never have come up with that
its weird
my worry is that my ideas are just inaccessible to the average person
granted if you were to end up say, buying ranching land on the outer limits of the township, that sounds like an old school apprenticeship buy-in
i mean its totally different from current sustem
that's fine
yeah i would say the same about the aprenticeship buy in
as long as the terms are well defined and property rights are respected
i dislike the idea of permanent anything in that sense though
and people have a future on the land, where they have opportunities to be economically productive and independent
sounds a lot like the rent control issues that high pop places end up with
like, check this out
or maybe even this https://www.landwatch.com/Bonner-County-Idaho-Land-for-sale/pid/28065233
if we had more money
i do like the idea of kind of reverse mortgaging yourself for a period though, pay in, get x number of years of room, board and a chance to work, and at the end of your contract, a payout based on investments
we could use the labor up front
to develop the land
well ok with your point to having a problem with permanency..if you are a member of the community contributing and following the rules why should you have to keep paying or expect a payout at the end
yeah but you cant guarentee the labor, or its quality
yeah
worst case, you get a neet that you feed for however long the contract is
haha neets gotta work for that electric
it seems with projects like this you always get one or two really butthurt people
the idea is that you cant guarentee contribution or rule following
who write an angry blog post or upload a bitter youtube video
"They're asking me to do work!!!"
"Slave labor!"
well my example of permanency is based on following rules and contributing...since you have no legal claim to the land you can be booted
then you're back to handshake deals
in the real world, this would need to be a contract
no because you buy your first year in the community
and after that its up to you to contribute
to keep your place
define keeping your place, if you're housing them in a rental situation, you need some form on contract there, and there are renters laws and minimum notices for eviction etc
they would be exxentially squatters...handshake may be true
at the end of that first year you just cant say 'ok neetman you suck gtfo'
but like trump said he knew what he signed up for
it takes a lot of legal bullshit to even evict squatters
lol
