God's love is annoying to the unfaithful no matter how it's presented

2018-08-30 08:27:43 UTC

Really need God in my life, how do I start

2018-08-30 08:28:08 UTC

If you can admit that much then he's already there

2018-08-30 08:28:22 UTC

Thank you king

Regularly going to Mass, preferably Latin is the basics but really it comes down to the simple things, get a rosary and keep it in your pocket to remind you of your faith when you're weak, get some sort of icon for the house to remind you while you eat etc

2018-08-30 08:30:12 UTC

All the answers will present themselves to you once you ask for them, at least that's been my experience

2018-08-30 08:32:02 UTC

Thanks fam, I'll get started. Really want some light in my life. I'm tired of the future being so bleak. I feel like the lord can help me stay strong

2018-08-30 09:08:48 UTC

You're welcome buddy take it easy

2018-08-30 15:36:03 UTC

tfw nibbas trying to convert you to Eastern Orthodoxy and other nibbas trying to convert you to Roman Catholicism

2018-08-30 15:36:52 UTC

Same

2018-08-30 15:37:45 UTC

I feel more comfortable with Catholicism but the corruption/decline makes me hesitant looking at Orthodoxy's growth and ability to stay traditional

2018-08-30 15:37:51 UTC

I was really leaning heavy towards Rome before all this latest shit

My issue is I don't know if the sedes are correct or not. If there have actually been contradictions and popes cant be heretics, then how can the current popes be popes

2018-08-30 15:38:57 UTC

youd have to have some talmudic understanding of it saying that they still have jurisdiction even though theyve excommunicated themselves

2018-08-30 15:39:48 UTC

I've been trying to understand Classical Theist's takes on it, but its very complicated and I can't tell who's correct

2018-08-30 15:40:22 UTC

which way fellas

2018-08-30 15:40:32 UTC

this orthomonk video is so soothing

2018-08-30 15:41:31 UTC

an ortholarper sent it to me last night

2018-08-30 15:41:52 UTC

The orthodox are a little too loose on abortion and divorce for me tbh

2018-08-30 15:42:04 UTC

i think it varies from church to church but yeah i agree

2018-08-30 15:42:14 UTC

Libcaths everywhere tho..

2018-08-30 15:42:50 UTC

True. But they are going directly against the Catholic Church when they hold the beliefs they do as libcaths

2018-08-30 15:43:26 UTC

Well one catholic postition that might work is basically just saying that history will bear out that these popes / liberals were heretical, and that they'll be anathematized later. However you could argue the sacraments are still valid and they still have jurisdiction insofar as they arent heretical

2018-08-30 15:43:54 UTC

They meaning the heretic popes, bishops and priests

2018-08-30 15:44:19 UTC

I feel like the issue with sedes is theres no path to church restoration

2018-08-30 15:54:36 UTC

there is a war ongoing for the church incase people didnt know

2018-08-30 15:58:05 UTC

Yeah I think the best position might just be to say the sacraments / righteous clergy are still fully authorized but the demons just need to be anathematized and purged

2018-08-30 15:58:43 UTC

He fought the demons, we can too

@NormanLord Can you explain the significance and purpose of the rosary please? I’m just recently trying to begome gadolic as well and I was given one by a member of the church.

2018-08-30 16:40:56 UTC

The Rosary is an old form of prayer that lots of Catholics do every day using the beads. It has ancient roots in the Davidic Psalter and while it might seem a bit complicated at first its very straightforward.

This is an in depth guide and I'll post a short "how to" one in a second

^Here's a short guide, just note two things, there's a typo on the Hail Holy Queen, it says "our" instead of your.
And then with the mysteries the old order was different which I can post in a second.
For learning the mysteries I would start by just learning one set of them to pray first, thats what I did.

If you read the guide I posted above it should make things a lot clearer though
