Eh SSPX is....problematic....to put it very charitably but ill support FSSP parishes
I'm from an FSSP parish, can definitely confirm this. My catechism is amazing.
First ever sessions even went into the whole philosophy and aside from that you have to read like 1950 instructions. They make sure it's before V2
What is SSPX and FSSP
Super basic intro: SSPX split from Rome because they wanted to keep the Latin Mass and ordain their own bishops. FSSP split from SSPX because they wanted to keep the Latin mass but remain with rome
i read some stuff earlier
they are not really split in some sense
but it is indeed complicate3d
its not a schisiim
or so some would say
yeah I know, it's still better to stay away until it's settled imho
both are great
if u can only find novus ordo parishes and services this will suffice and if you have no other options dont not feel bad about going to them
Full autismo version: the SSPX is a priestly society that was founded with the full approval of Rome by Archbishop Lefebvre, he did so to preserve the full integrity of the Catholic faith against the modernist forces of Vatican II. In the years following Rome tried to force them to accept modernism and perescuted them by pulling their ordinary jurisdiction when they refused. Since then they have continued to administer the sacraments under supplied jurisdiction
Without the SSPX the traditional Latin Mass would be virtually non-existent today
Eh. Benedict was a thing so thats probably not accurate
In fact i think the separation of SSPX from ordinary parishes helped modernists cast aside the true Catholics instead of SSPX helping with returning normies to traditions
Cowards ran when there was a fight. I have parisioners who returned from SSPX to FSSP parishes because they realized SSPXis infiltrated by sede cucks and leading many astray.
I get the SSPX argument and canon law etc. But i think its just wrong. The church didnt schism during the Arian heresy. People stood and fought and were persecuted for the truth even when the popes and emporers were interfering.
we may have a debate in the near future sedes vs non sedes on the daily braap
No sedes here
The SSPX laity were just Catholics who refused to accept the novus ordo and doctrinal abiguities of VII
But i want the blood of the martyrs to run the streets
they couldn't exactly force diocesan parishes to continue the TLM
I want to see excommunication of lefebvre
So people wake up
But instead he slinked away quietly and with a whisper not a bang. You get what im saying right?
i meant we would have some discussion about this issue on the show
the daily braap possibly next saturday
with classical theist
and maybe simon the sede
but simon is no where near as educated as classical
He was (falsely) excommunicated and he fought for the faith agressively when he was alive
I'd watch, though theist is hard to listen too imho.
His fight was well intended just on the wrong battlefield
Is my point
Anyone want to give their thoughts on the Borgias?
Aka
yeah but if theist is with other people
he will be way more bearable
