Dont see where Nick's theory has been blown up. Did you think that Palestine would come to the table the next day? The point Nick made was that Trump us pursuing a broader comprehensive peace. In order to guarantee that he needs to abandon this faux "broker nation" bs. Like it or not Israel is our ally, and Trump needs to make his position clear: if we keep the status quo, Israel wins vs the Palestinians. Hamas is in a tizzy, but the west bank has been quiet, and the backlash has been minimal. Furthermore, Trump is shoring up his own support at home rn. I'm not happy about it, but many Republicans are supporters of Israel and Trump is really throwing red meat to the GOP base with this.
