Y'all I know I don't talk much in here I mostly lurk, but my sister needs prayers. She just lost her dad (half sister technically), and she lives 500 miles away. She's going through a lot of other stuff and has history with being suicidal. She's shutting down on everyone and shut off her phone since yesterday. Her name is Chrissy and she's all alone. My whole family is worried about her but we can't be there with her right now. Thanks.

There is practically nothing Christian about the Catholic Church and hasn't been from it's very foundation. The Roman Empire found itself on the edge of collapse and anarchy and saw that true Christianity was beginning to have a large influence with the general population. Constantine found a brilliant way to co-opt it for himself. He supposedly had a vision of the cross, painted crosses on his soldiers shields and marched them through a river, claiming they were all now baptized. He then won a great battle and gave the credit to Jesus. That was the start of millennia of cruelty at the hands of an empire that changed it's cloak from civil to ecclesiastical.
