Being a doctor makes me cringe at anti-vax stuff

It really shows the failings of our education system

It makes me cringe, especially not even being of the legal age in my state to get a vaccine without my parent's consent, but I still get vaccinated, no worries.

Everyone who is able to get vaccinated should be vaccinated

Within the general population, aka people whose genetics are normal and don’t have compromised immune systems, the worst that can happen is a rash or a cold. There are certain conditions where things like paralysis can be caused

But let’s be clear. These conditions are incredibly rare

And they’re certainly not evidence that vaccines are bad

But we’re better off with those extenuating cases than having widespread disease
