or even shortsighted criticisms
"Its evidence for tortion bar twist, nothing else"
Ive literaly gotten that argument

2019-10-31 06:52:00 UTC

hitler didnt gas the jews

2019-10-31 07:17:52 UTC

Agree

2019-10-31 07:28:12 UTC

I got the argument how can we know that its the mass and not some other strange inexplicable reason that causes the cavendish experiment to behave the way it does? what would you answer to that @Σ5

2019-10-31 07:29:48 UTC

repeated experement with difrent circumstances can be tested

2019-10-31 07:30:06 UTC

any proposed alternate explanation for the data can be tested

2019-10-31 07:30:11 UTC

if its testable

2019-10-31 07:31:18 UTC

so basically you let the other party propose an alternative explanation and test for it and say what strange ... should cause it? lets test for it

2019-10-31 07:31:22 UTC

one explanation is magnetic forces
magnetic forces have an inverse cube law instead of inverse square law
and you can text difrent materials than areeffected difrently to magnetic fields

2019-10-31 07:31:40 UTC

yea

2019-10-31 07:31:47 UTC

just use non magnetic masses

2019-10-31 07:31:49 UTC

either a new experement or the already existing data can test there new propoosition

2019-10-31 07:32:03 UTC

thx for your suggestion

2019-10-31 07:32:44 UTC

i was told that the lead being used is being effected by a magnetic field to be attracted to each other
lead is diamagnetic tho

2019-10-31 07:33:13 UTC

if you really learned all this autodidactive your pretty smart i guess

2019-10-31 07:33:15 UTC

one argument againsed cavendish is that they show one where the balance went crazy

2019-10-31 07:33:40 UTC

but then you notice they used allot of dielectric materials that can store charge

2019-10-31 07:33:50 UTC

i see

2019-10-31 07:33:59 UTC

but they just ignore that for some reason

2019-10-31 07:34:30 UTC

they look critically at everything that shows they might be wrong and do the opposite for all that might show there right

2019-10-31 07:34:54 UTC

what you doing for a job?

2019-10-31 07:34:55 UTC

the one they usualy use is where they have some white sheet beneath it
using wood and the main large masses are bowling balls (dielectric)

2019-10-31 07:35:28 UTC

i would accept the results more even if they used bowling balls but coated it in graphite to conduct away the charges

2019-10-31 07:35:42 UTC

and grounded it all

2019-10-31 07:36:01 UTC

i work at home depot

2019-10-31 07:36:08 UTC

2019-10-31 07:36:34 UTC

hm

2019-10-31 07:36:42 UTC

you like ur job?

2019-10-31 07:37:02 UTC

its ok

2019-10-31 07:37:05 UTC

i think you can pretty much learn any job u want

2019-10-31 07:37:25 UTC

the wild movement in the video they showed can be explained by the electrostatic bell effect

2019-10-31 07:37:26 UTC
2019-10-31 07:37:39 UTC

you can programm yet?

2019-10-31 07:37:57 UTC

i do programing yes

2019-10-31 07:38:03 UTC

ah nice

2019-10-31 07:38:14 UTC

otherwise id suggested this site

2019-10-31 07:39:45 UTC

interesting

2019-10-31 07:39:59 UTC

i mainly use haskell

2019-10-31 07:41:37 UTC

i didnt learn that one yet

2019-10-31 07:42:48 UTC

anyway nice talk thx for the info about cavendish
