You have to simplify things in school, otherwise concepts can’t be grasped.

2019-11-05 16:23:56 UTC

That's the problem though

2019-11-05 16:24:08 UTC

You cant start talking about nuclear fusion to a second grader that doesn’t even know the sun is a star

2019-11-05 16:24:24 UTC

Teach it in high school

2019-11-05 16:24:30 UTC

People barely understand gravity enough as it is

2019-11-05 16:24:46 UTC

Cause no one wants to actually learn about it

2019-11-05 16:24:59 UTC

Now THATS what sucks about school

2019-11-05 16:25:10 UTC

2019-11-05 16:25:14 UTC

Ouch

2019-11-05 16:25:22 UTC

You’re always given the option to pursue knowledge further, but school doesn’t incentivize it as much as it should.

2019-11-05 16:25:48 UTC

That's something we gotta fix

2019-11-05 16:26:08 UTC

They also teach too many things as fact even though it's just assumptions

2019-11-05 16:26:33 UTC

What (in the curriculum) is taught as fact, but it just an assumption?

2019-11-05 16:26:51 UTC

The big bang

2019-11-05 16:26:54 UTC

Like, not what teachers personally say Bc they’ll imprint their beliefs and views into everything

2019-11-05 16:27:41 UTC

@floridaswamptrash do you have any other examples. they teach big bang more so in college

2019-11-05 16:28:30 UTC

Why wasnt i learn about how to program plcs when in gradeschool

2019-11-05 16:28:32 UTC

Who wants to debate about the six astronauts that didn’t actually die?

2019-11-05 16:28:33 UTC

Couldve used it now

2019-11-05 16:28:40 UTC

The Big Bang is taught as a theory, aka an explanation for why something is, and then it was tested. It is very valuable, especially in higher level physics.

2019-11-05 16:29:02 UTC

We then use the Big Bang as an axiom for further discussion and research

2019-11-05 16:29:18 UTC

Then why do people always argue that it is fact that it happened? I rarely see people say that it's just a theory honestly

2019-11-05 16:29:21 UTC

We do have entire alternate hypotheses and theories

2019-11-05 16:29:37 UTC

They always portray it as if it actually happened

2019-11-05 16:29:42 UTC

At the end of the day though were all people and it shouldnt matter how we got here as much as it should who we are today

2019-11-05 16:30:06 UTC

Because all observations and calculations about it fit the theory

2019-11-05 16:30:08 UTC

Saying “just a theory” is misleading, because a theory has sufficient evidence backing it to be accepted as fact.

2019-11-05 16:31:04 UTC

Say it again

2019-11-05 16:31:17 UTC

What caused the big bang?

2019-11-05 16:31:32 UTC

What caused God

2019-11-05 16:31:36 UTC

The rapid expansion of atoms

2019-11-05 16:32:19 UTC

Aba is a mainstream book right here lol

2019-11-05 16:32:22 UTC

I think in the end we’ll never know and we can only guess as to why were here today

2019-11-05 16:32:27 UTC

What

2019-11-05 16:32:37 UTC

The big bang assumes too much to be accurate

2019-11-05 16:32:43 UTC

So does god

2019-11-05 16:32:45 UTC

And sim

2019-11-05 16:32:49 UTC

I'm not talking about God

2019-11-05 16:32:54 UTC

We dont know what caused it thats why people are researching string theory

2019-11-05 16:32:55 UTC

Or sim whatever that is

2019-11-05 16:33:14 UTC

We can only guess right now
