The Big Bang is taught as a theory, aka an explanation for why something is, and then it was tested. It is very valuable, especially in higher level physics.

We then use the Big Bang as an axiom for further discussion and research

Then why do people always argue that it is fact that it happened? I rarely see people say that it's just a theory honestly

We do have entire alternate hypotheses and theories

They always portray it as if it actually happened

At the end of the day though were all people and it shouldnt matter how we got here as much as it should who we are today

Because all observations and calculations about it fit the theory

Saying “just a theory” is misleading, because a theory has sufficient evidence backing it to be accepted as fact.
