Full disclosure, I always feel like the smartest person in the room, and sometimes it makes me wish I had more priviliges than others, e.g. where voting is concerned, but I recognize that there's a special kind of stupidity in not being able to switch perspectives and see things from a different point of view. Can everyone please stop writing "I" with a lower case "i"? Like it really annoys me. Especially if you're a native English speaker. You need to consider that there are teachers teaching English as a foreign language, busting their asses off to get kids to understand the importance of this, and then the kids get on the internet and see people who have English as their first language abusing it and giving zero fucks about grammar. It's a real travesty. The online treatment of any language makes me so sad. We need to seriously change that kind of culture, since I believe social media is here to stay, and we can't let languages get abused like this.
