I am from france, and you are from the US and we could take someone from Australia for instance to capture images for the constellation of orion, we will find that every observer (I, you and the other guy), have different measures for the constellation of orion.

Personal experience flying at 58,000 feet in an F-18 for over 700 miles looking everywhere 360° around it is flat on the surface of the ocean as it is on the mountains there was no curvature at all at 58,000 feet
