What if AoE de's 1,2 and 3 are just betas for AoE4?
firstly, getting the community around the games to play an "update" version of the originals, so that they can gain insights on the likes/dislikes for bugs/features/gameplay. Then "balance/rework" stats from the originals, so they can add/remove/change features that will be put in AoE4. Just recycle assets from DE's and slap on a new paint, then there's the new game to the series.

collecting pollen is just flying near the flower, combat is like "push mouse 1 now, mouse 2 now.." you have to fly through a lot of loops on a timer with wonky controls
