What I dont understand about pathfinder wording is the constant use of he or her instead of just refering to the player, class or more neutral termonolgy. This was in pathfinder 1

@Deleted User @galesteppes The dense area used to be the entire map, but then I extended the canvas a fuck ton to show just how little is known about the rest of the world. The island far in the east that looks like a flipped Saudi Arabia is where the elves and dwarves emerged. There’s a few scattered cities, such as the ones on the southern most continent. Those cities down are where humans emerged. The environment there is extremely hostile, hence why they haven’t expanded much. Groups of sailors got lost at seas and ended up in the densely packed area. Because the environment there is not hostile the expanded greatly over tens of thousands of years and interbred with some native humanoid species, sorts like how we did. Those four cities they originated from are so small in territory because nature has, at this point, pushed them to the edge. Much of that original civilization has fallen to time and nature. I’m making the map from a third person perspective who knows everything about it, but also trying to emphasize the vastness and unexplored size of the world

I actually have an idea for doing another version of this map tens of thousands of years earlier where there’s a civilization, probably around the “pike and shot” era, that actually existed in that southernmost continent, but was then struck by a massive wave of different natural disasters and disease. Sorta like a forgotten history sort of thing.

and thus all gunpowder and steam technology was lost. Just a few rusted and/or rotted relics that nobody understands.

I also had an idea of making the chief propellant of this civilization steam, and not gunpowder.
