Ah, no worries yo.
Any other GM's on here have any useful tools they use when creating a world? I'm working on a first edition Homebrew
map or the setting details?
Oof I haven't messed with 1st ed in forever. Wouldn't know where to start on anything but map.
And gimp or one of a bazillion editors can help there
what have you been playing?
or haven't been playing at all
I used civ 5 to generate maps for my games
More map or like random generation stuff for npcs
I've played first and second as well as Pathfinder and 3.5 I prefer a modded first ed tho
Honestly for npcs, I rip them out from pregen stat blocks and reconfigure them to whatever system I'm playiing
This first Warhammer book is getting me psyched
I'm looking for a new model range to paint, sick of the prices Games Workshop charges and was wondering if anyone has a brand of models that's a lot cheaper and similar or better qwaulity with similar themes,
Convo me if you got links, this request will probably get buried in other discussions.
First edition is broken though. If you go dual daggers you're a god, right?
You get to attack twice with no real downside.
we talking like 1st ed from like the 80s?
Yea. OG DnD
Some people like the Punishment that 1st and 2nd can only deliver
Yeh man I like that it's more like dark souls fantasy as opposed to God murder hobos
Which you can still reach on 1st but it's a lot harder at least it was with my gm
Like other gens you are the chosen one
1st you are the unlucky fuck who has to go out a killing
so why play 1st over 3.5 or 5e?
Preference mainly
And it's also easier to mod because it's less complicated like I can change a system without throwing everything out of wack
1st and 2nd you dont reach that until level 15 or higher. (Usually by then an adventurer is looking to retire and has a cohort you end up playing)
3.5 you do by level 10
5e you do by level 5.
Depends on how you do time passage but yea sounds about right
Most high priests, generals, high wizards are usually around 13th level in 1st and second. They no longer quest, but act in supporting roles to the cohorts
Is how I've always seen and had it described to me
It just depends on the group our assassin and mage were high enough to retire but hadn't finished personal quests, vendetta's that kind of stuff so they kept adventuring instead of npcing out although we did have characters npc out due to curses... Or making promises to God's that ended very poorly
