BOTTOM LINE - Europe is even more dependent on strong banks to fuel its economy than the U.S. Yet the continent’s lenders can’t seem to find healthy profits.
Though the alternative was probably starvation for many.
Yeah the DB and Commerzbank merger is quite delicate atm
It was one of those fucked regardless of your solution things.
One one hand we need strong banks to stand against China yet it would cost thousands in employment
Why would employment cost money?
As in jobs would be lost...
Oh you kean unemployment
I think this is the perfect scenario for an EU, but it looks more like the EU is embracing China to resist American companies instead. It's really weird. I cannot imagine Americans calling for stricter regulations upon IKEA for instance, or BASF.
Actually BASF is a chemical company so they do get regulated heavily
Andrew Bridgen is a smart man
Syngenta too
We have tons of huge European multinationals here, we like them. So when the EU wants American companies to fuck off, we're just like, why? We use your shit too.
It's like, come on Germany. Play fair.
the last two times Germany did try and play fair they got their ass beaten so bad it did leave millions dead
