I don't think you do lol
I thought you were retarded for a moment there
Yeah, it’s nuts
i already said i had my last physics lesson like 6 years ago
military toes
The 'premiere' wind mill tech school is in my city
wait @Deleted User wdym the blades are one piece?
the whole blade is one big piece
@Deleted User a megawatt is the amount of power it would take to make you straight
have you seen a photo of it being carried on some trucks
@Deleted User I've driven past them lol
<:GWqlabsKek:393085130219978752>
@galesteppes electric fence pence
have you seen a video of a wind turbine just shattering tho <:GWcorbinMonkaGIGA:384871327292588054>
frick
No?
when it spins so quickly the blades just fly off
Is that a thing?
wait i'll find one
yes
For these big ones?
<:pepe_eyes:378719408362881024>
it's not that big a turbine but still
haha
One of the ways the big ones get destroyed is through overheating (at least in the desert)
@Deleted User The big ones have a lock where one of the blades is in line with the tower
well
apparently the big ones don't really just break like that one
but they catch fire
Renewable UK says this is a really rare occurrence, and there are officially only around 12 wind turbine fires reported a year worldwide.
I've seen burnt off tops of windmill stands before
either way renewable energy isn't that great most of the time
not for large-scale energy production anyway
One thing people don't talk about when it comes to wind power is the damage it does to local birds/bats too
It works here. 85% of our energy in the PNW is renewable
do birds just fly into the blades constantly? <:think_madpepe:378717098630971395>
yes
And it screws with bats' echolocation sense
oh but don't you know we only have 12 years to cover the planet with solar panels
