the only reason they continue to get away with the tax dodging with international loopholes like that is because politicians are in their pocket and don't do anything about it
@Tero indeed. It's quite infuriating really. The rich have long exploited the poor for their private wealth and benefit, and when it comes to paying up they never do.
Or you can Lowe taxes. That makes economic activity in your nation more profitable. Which means more of it will occur. And you of course tax that at the new lower rate. A smaller slice of a bigger pie. Why often enough even people in other countries are incentivized to do business in yours and become part of your tax base.
I think it's the lying hypocrisy that's the damning part - the Lib Dems have always been against Brexit irrespective of the democratic result... as shameful as that is in a democracy, we at least always knew exactly where they stood.
