optics have been replaced by virtue-signalling, which is abominable

2019-05-01 20:42:01 UTC

I just feel it was a mistake for ukip to focus so much on the eu elections

2019-05-01 20:42:10 UTC

they should of prioritised the locals

2019-05-01 20:42:43 UTC

eu presence is a bigger platform than locals

2019-05-01 20:43:10 UTC

atm EU is a huge issues with the brexit betrayals of may

2019-05-01 20:43:18 UTC

They want to send a message both the EU and Britain with limited resources - couldn't achieve that with local elections

2019-05-01 20:43:22 UTC

you're forgetting the brexit party

2019-05-01 20:43:27 UTC

which will split the vote

2019-05-01 20:43:38 UTC

brexit party really fucked shit up

2019-05-01 20:43:51 UTC

if nigel wasn't so fucking spineless

2019-05-01 20:43:54 UTC

yup Nigel Farage is a damn idiot

2019-05-01 20:44:10 UTC

a powerhungry idiot at that

2019-05-01 20:44:26 UTC

he is a diva that hates that other people then him gets the attention

2019-05-01 20:44:27 UTC

i wouldn't get too worried about that as long as euroskeptics are in the EU thats good enough, its not like MEP's can really do much anyway

2019-05-01 20:44:31 UTC

Farage can pull in the normies, which is still best chance for Brexit to happen

2019-05-01 20:44:33 UTC

that's why I say locals would of been better

2019-05-01 20:44:35 UTC

for ukip

2019-05-01 20:44:57 UTC

because that would make them the only non-establishment leave supporting party

2019-05-01 20:45:10 UTC

I will still vote UKIP however because i like the new direction

2019-05-01 20:45:17 UTC

in terms of representation and optics if you want to look at it that wway too

2019-05-01 20:45:22 UTC

Once Brexit confirmed as betrayed, next move is to destroy EU from within

2019-05-01 20:45:39 UTC

saying ukip should step aside because farage wants his eu salary is pretty silly

2019-05-01 20:45:41 UTC

I mean I know it's an improvement but contesting only 16% of council seats just isn''t enough

2019-05-01 20:46:14 UTC

it shouldn't step aside, i would prefer the vote wasn't split too, but i'm saying it could be worse

2019-05-01 20:46:25 UTC

I'm saying the locals is a long term strategy for party growth

2019-05-01 20:46:31 UTC

the eu elections just aren't

2019-05-01 20:46:47 UTC

they're short term and narrow minded politically

2019-05-01 20:47:15 UTC

They didn't even need to step aside just put less money towards the eu elections and focus the financial support on the locals

2019-05-01 20:47:45 UTC

that would of been the way forward for ukip to get their foot further into the door of UK politics

2019-05-01 20:48:06 UTC

yea, atm what they need to do is build up a stable base

2019-05-01 20:51:37 UTC

Exactly and the only way to do that is the local elections which is the long term power plan let’s be honest not the short term power gain from potential β€œsuccess” in the eu elections which at some point we’ll apparently leave anyway. At least long term the locals will allow people to hold UKIP more to account generally rather than one issue

2019-05-01 20:53:47 UTC

i mean, ukip should run in every possible election if they want to be treated like a "real" party

MUH HARD RIGHT

2019-05-01 21:49:46 UTC

not that she is a crapy puppet for environmental Marxists

2019-05-01 21:50:13 UTC

Greta Thunberg is proof the Left have resorted to using children as human shields to shut down criticism of their shit

nooo she's a woke child

my Daughter is one year older than Greta. Imagine how much I listen to her politics

2019-05-01 21:52:13 UTC

at that age at best they can hope for is getting in is a suggestion for dinner that day
