<:what:382980756139409409> But how

Don't worry we proved it by running a Business Democrat as an Evil Republican

2019-05-14 13:41:19 UTC

Because we don't vote for parties @Deleted User

2019-05-14 13:41:31 UTC

Europeam coalitions dont exist in britain as they do in the netherlands

2019-05-14 13:41:36 UTC

It's just an arbitrary label for politicians @Deleted User

2019-05-14 13:41:51 UTC

In the netherlands the political system still functions

2019-05-14 13:42:16 UTC

Anyone can call themselves a republican in the US

2019-05-14 13:42:18 UTC

Britains political system doesnt even function as intended

2019-05-14 13:43:06 UTC

@Deleted User My state had 7 Republicans running against each other last year

2019-05-14 13:43:11 UTC

`only registered Republicans can vote in Republican Primary Elections and sign nomination petitions for Republican candidates.`

2019-05-14 13:43:17 UTC

how is it not a party?

2019-05-14 13:43:26 UTC

That's a state policy

2019-05-14 13:43:48 UTC

I don't have to register for anything

2019-05-14 13:44:20 UTC

to do what

2019-05-14 13:44:34 UTC

Vote, petition, etc

2019-05-14 13:44:46 UTC

Im gonna vote in the eu election this year

2019-05-14 13:44:51 UTC

you don't have to register with a party to vote elsewhere either

2019-05-14 13:45:28 UTC

IM gonna vote for the eurosceptic party

2019-05-14 13:45:33 UTC

@Tero But when voting in euro elections, you vote for a party at some point, right? Theres a check box next to a party name

2019-05-14 13:45:34 UTC

To have a place in the eu

2019-05-14 13:45:36 UTC

2019-05-14 13:46:52 UTC

2019-05-14 13:47:33 UTC

@Deleted User But is it people on the ballot, or a party?

2019-05-14 13:47:43 UTC

People

2019-05-14 13:47:49 UTC

People on the ballot

2019-05-14 13:48:19 UTC

You cant vote for the party you have to vote for the person which is in that party

2019-05-14 13:48:26 UTC

i should say though, ours says people but also the party they're running with

2019-05-14 13:48:55 UTC

and most people understand it as voting for a party

2019-05-14 13:48:59 UTC

So really, I'm not even criticizing either of your systems

2019-05-14 13:49:38 UTC

I'm criticing the ones where your vote is for an impersonal party

2019-05-14 13:49:59 UTC

are the EU elections actually like that tho

2019-05-14 13:50:09 UTC

like didn't the UKIP EUMEPs defect to brexit party

2019-05-14 13:50:16 UTC

In the eu elections we vote for the person
