i mean idk if it's all worth it, but certainly i wouldn't want my entire army comprised of soldiers and officers who have never seen combat

the primary one is to make money

i think the primary reason would have to be geopolitical

if you're the richest country around by far you can't really make much money by looting shitholes

its not about making new moneys

it is about spending tax money on certain industries

or expanding the oil and mining companies

by getting them rights to steal another countries resources
