They're spending their own money to attend.
afaik travel expenses for international guests are non-taxable business expenses anyway
so it's mostly a question of actual payment for services
Are they not being paid?
Or reimbursed for travel?
And the only other point unless he posts the wording of the document it is impossible to know the meaning of the NDA or the NC
>Edit: And having just read the NC, **it's demanding** none of the speakers be speakers for **any other convention** for **12 months**, starting 30th December. So yeah, that's a big red flag, not even REAL conventions do that, couple that with a 3 year NDA & I'm going to predict right now that this entire scam is going to be a fly by night money making scam.

Is this it??
ITT people do not understand how to read
>Businesses competitive with Kilroy
and?
Why?
within 100 miles
Again, why?
who would compete with killroy?
Another event?
well Razorfist lives just outside Phoenix, might hurt him
What are the odds of another event happening in Phoenix in the next 16 months?
doubt it
I guess that's up to Kilroy to decide, if an event competes or not. And the judge.
odd thing to sign
It's odd, it's not a normal thing to demand from speakers.
and you have done these before?
"Sign it because everyone does it."
this looks completely standard to me
but it doesn't stop you from doing the same thing outside of a 100 mile radius
Tim and others are claiming they never had to sign either in previous events where they were speakers.
and?
which is mostly desert?
that does not make it not standard
Nor the claims of DanNobodyConway makes it standard.
if you say so
i just dont really care for mass misunderstanding
He should have asked a lawyer or a paralegal
before tweeting it out and making a potential ass of himself
Tim had spoken at hacker conventions, where quite a few speakers are gray hats. Never had to sign NDAs and NCs.
Sorry, Tim has more credibility than you.
can you read?
