and when we are talking socialism. we have to frame it under what would be acceptable for socialism to do within the uk

2017-12-31 16:06:54 UTC

its really dishonest to lable corbyn a communist and then perpetuate that lie.

2017-12-31 16:14:54 UTC

I think it's funny when people claim that socialism, communism, democracy, freedom, tyranny, has to be judge by location and culture. "Freedom and democracy might be good for the USA, but not for country XYZ, it's a different culture, they're better off not having it."

2017-12-31 16:16:26 UTC

well look at this way. the infastructure for socialism isnt there in the us. and thts why it will fail. because of how much change you would need in order for it to succeed. where as in the uk. were already quasi socialist.

I'm going to called Corbyn a Commie everyday until he forms the ability to answer a question LUUL

2017-12-31 16:16:44 UTC

>implying socialism can succeed

2017-12-31 16:17:02 UTC

daniel are you from the uk?

2017-12-31 16:17:09 UTC

Nope.

2017-12-31 16:17:09 UTC

or the us?

2017-12-31 16:17:15 UTC

Neither.

2017-12-31 16:17:19 UTC

ok where?

2017-12-31 16:17:26 UTC

I'm from the internet.

2017-12-31 16:17:55 UTC

well lets put it in the us. forms of socialism are education and social security.

2017-12-31 16:18:14 UTC

in the uk its health care, education national insurance etc etc.

2017-12-31 16:18:36 UTC

its already working. but the tory government is trying to stamp it out and put spanners in the works.

2017-12-31 16:18:47 UTC

there actually behind schedule for selling off the nhs

2017-12-31 16:18:55 UTC

Healthcare in the UK is already working?

2017-12-31 16:19:28 UTC

it was and it does but when you have privatisation happening and governments deliberatley doing things to make every little part of the nhs hurt

2017-12-31 16:20:00 UTC

it makes the nhs really difficult to support financially because of the sanctions the government is putting on it.

2017-12-31 16:20:11 UTC

Isn't that the whole argument for not letting the government run social programs? Because it has no clues, nor the motivation, to do it properly?

2017-12-31 16:20:11 UTC

they are designing to sell it off.

2017-12-31 16:20:26 UTC

"Management by numbers."

2017-12-31 16:20:30 UTC

no the idea of the nhs is that everyone has the same health care.

2017-12-31 16:20:33 UTC

put if this way

2017-12-31 16:20:54 UTC

the whole country has a bigger buyer power than a few select private companies

2017-12-31 16:21:05 UTC

therefore the cost of things are cheaper because you are buying in bulk

2017-12-31 16:21:18 UTC

where as lots of different private companies buying things

2017-12-31 16:21:21 UTC

increases the costs.

2017-12-31 16:21:42 UTC

and they will have a proft incentive to profit of sick people

2017-12-31 16:21:48 UTC

which i believe is ethically compromised

2017-12-31 16:22:20 UTC

if you get cancer in the us. you can go bankrupt

2017-12-31 16:22:32 UTC

in the uk you get the treatment without worrying about that.

2017-12-31 16:22:55 UTC

just pay the taxes that you do so in the eventuality of you becoming sick

2017-12-31 16:22:59 UTC

you are covered.

2017-12-31 16:23:20 UTC

everyone pays the same and everyone gets the same accsess to treatment.

2017-12-31 16:23:33 UTC

you still can go private if you want to.

2017-12-31 16:23:41 UTC

Except when hospitals are overcrowded and they can't get treatment.

2017-12-31 16:23:53 UTC

On paper, everyone could get treatment.

2017-12-31 16:24:02 UTC

everyone does.

2017-12-31 16:24:32 UTC
2017-12-31 16:24:58 UTC

its just that there as i said alot of sanctions that the current government are putting on its workers and finances are making it really difficult for the nhs to thrive
