A subterranean salt dome was emptied out until it was dangerously close to the surface... which was the bottom of a lake
A very big lake
An oil drill or something durrowed down in this lake, and because the mine had not accurately updated its recent activity, the drill struck the salt dome
Guess what happens to salt when it meets water
This enormous mine, which was fully active, starts to fucking melt, and water is gushing in uncontrollably
Supports began to collapse and sections sealed off trapping tons of people to drown
Meanwhile the lake, a very deep lake, forms a giant fucking whirlpool
A popular fishing and freshwater sports location, tons of boats were getting sucked into this literal hole in the water, filling up with ships
There was some video and it looked like armageddon type shit
The lake actually emptied into the Gulf of Mexico, so the sudden loss of water reversed flow, the Gulf flooded into the region destroying homes
Western civilization is literally burning to the ground
This image hurts deeply
The spire has collapsed
dude
western civilization is dying
Paris is gone
It was most probably an accident
it is being linked with the restauration process
All it takes is a knocked over work light
Shouldn't they be using electric lights?
Of course. But work lights are *hot*
It was one of the most iconic buildings in Europe

...place your bets some muzzies did it - they've been vandalising Christian locations for decades, and it's been getting worse with the migrant influx
What if they replaced it with a mosque?

for devout Muslims, the tallest building in any city is to be the mosque... so...
Of course you have to already start blaming the muslims

You couldn't resist it couldn't you
